Market Values
#Market Values — How eBay Pricing Works
GamerVault automatically estimates the market value of every game in your collection using real eBay listing data.

#How It Works
- Each game is checked against current eBay listings for the same title and platform
- Prices are split into three condition tiers: Loose, CIB (Complete-in-Box), and Sealed
- The average price is calculated based on active listings
- Your game's value is matched to the correct tier based on its condition
#Understanding Confidence Scores
Every price has a confidence score between 0 and 1:
- 0.9+ — Excellent (50+ listings available)
- 0.7–0.9 — Good (10–50 listings)
- 0.5–0.7 — Fair (few listings)
- < 0.5 — Low confidence (price shown but marked as estimate)
If confidence is below 0.5, the value is not used — your purchase price is shown instead.
#Condition Tiers
| Condition |
Tier |
Example |
| Loose |
1 |
Game cartridge only |
| CIB (Complete-in-Box) |
2 |
Game + box + manual |
| Sealed |
3 |
Factory-sealed |
Your game's condition setting determines which price tier GamerVault uses.
#Why Prices Might Be Missing
- The game is very rare (no recent eBay sales)
- Platform or region mismatch
- No price data has been fetched yet (prices update nightly)
